War on Piracy and EU (Final Chapter!?)
There are two continuous USA wars I have strong opinion about. First “The War On Drugs”, second “The War On Piracy”. The common in between is both are utter-most ineffective, closer to classic Parody and pure Hypocrisy . Here, I would like to focus on the second, namely PIRACY!
First the bad news: “Law enforcement agencies will be able to cut off the connections of Internet users suspected of illegally downloading films and music, lawmakers and EU ministers agreed in the small hours of this morning (5 November).” source: www.euractiv.com
This type of legislation has just past, enforced-upon, following the lead example of countries like France and UK. What this morning was considered a conciliation meeting for the common future EU communication principles, turned to be a direct hit on the issue of Internet Neutrality and taped right on Piracy in particular. Looks like the USCorpocrasy is close to imposing draconian laws to EU end users as long as infringement goes. In sharp contrast of local regulations, where warrant was necessary before, it might not be the case anymore. What strikes me most is the fact that the EU parliament first had declared Internet being
classified as a ‘basic human right’ along with water and electricity. Then, on top of that they agree on cutting spontaneously Internet access to users ’suspected’ on committing IP (Intellectual Piracy). Am I the only one here, or it simply makes no sense!?
“The most recent text from the Parliament made substantial concessions to the Council’s thinking and deleted references to a “prior” ruling at a “judicial authority” (EurActiv 23/10/09).
The text now reads: “A prior, fair and impartial procedure shall be guaranteed, including the right to be heard of the person or persons concerned, subject to the need for appropriate conditions and procedural arrangements in duly substantiated cases of urgency in conformity with European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The right to an effective and timely judicial review shall be guaranteed.” (quoted same source)
“This agreement strengthens the competitiveness among enterprises and enhances the consumer protection in Europe, which will lead to […] better and less expensive broadband services and substantially stronger protection for all Internet users,” Asa Torstensson said (communication minister of Sweden (see Pirate Bay Drama) ). = which simply translates to: BULLSHIT! Under the cover of cliche such as ‘open-internet’/'protection’ they are sneaking by with Natzi-like law. You have all the human rights in the world but we can always shoot first ask questions later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am tired of some corrupt officials decide the future for themselves! What to do!? It is up to you. Join a club, attend a protest, or simply stop voting for this crap called EU as many people already do. Anyhow:
And The good news: Politics really think they can control people deeds. The inconvenient truth: “SIMPLY they CANNOT!”. The war on piracy will hit back on Corpocracy
Last summer, the Swedish Pirate Party, elected one member for the UE parlamnet. But FUK that, democaracy=hypocracy, we have something better! TECHNOLOGY!
With advanced software, in the face of p2p and virtual secure networks etc., regulations will become virtually impossible to trace/detect. Leave alone prove an individual’s involvement. Of course, all that in case, no natzi knocking on the door
In the the time to pass I will try to present tools and methods of liberating yourself from these “stronger protection for all Internet users” laws imposed on you on behalf of your truly EU. Officially the council has left the enduser rights defense to representative country local judicial legislation. Which, maybe not articulated publicly, now clearly demises their own authority. Left alone popularity.

Parliament’s third-reading vote is scheduled for 23-26 November. In their third and last readings of the electronic communications framework directive both Parliament and Council may only approve or reject the joint text as a whole without any further amendments: Parliament needs a simple majority of votes cast, whereas the Council decides by qualified majority.
